Many ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฃ๐ผ๐๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป (๐๐ฃ๐๐) simulations look accurate on screen but fail to match experimental results. Multitrack LPBF involves complex melt pool dynamics, rapid thermal cycles, and material interactions that cannot be reliably captured without experimental validation.
Without validation, simulations may miss critical defects such as balling, lack of fusion, and unstable melt pool behaviour.
In this upcoming webinar, researchers from Motilal Nehru National Institute Of Technology, Allahabad (MNNIT) will present a validated computational study on multitrack LPBF modelling of Inconel 718 using AM PravaHยฎ.
The session will demonstrate how physics-based simulation combined with experimental validation improves process understanding, enhances prediction accuracy, and reduces costly trial-and-error in metal additive manufacturing.
